During the week I first moved into my flat, I had no internet. I noticed my mind became very clear, as I could not keep stimulating my mind. I saw that from that place, I could progress financially, socially, emotionally, and spiritually far more quickly.
Addiction comes in countless forms. Any behaviour that serves to repeatedly distract oneself from suffering is an addiction.
Meditation allows the overstimulated mind to settle. I don't want to constantly dart from one activity to another, that's why I created the weekly plan, to schedule time for activities that truly matter. I see the upcoming time slots as time that I have dedicated for that particular activity. If ever I get an idea for something to do in an activity that is a day or two away, I simple note it down so I can read it during that time slot.
The good news is, we can use the cold turkey method to end addictions.
