To avoid getting lost when giving a speech, try using this structure:
Intro
Setting up the speech to let the audience know what’s happening, and to give yourself a bit of preparation as well.
Three points
Giving three distinct ideas or points is a good idea because its easy for us to remember so we don’t get lost, and it’s also just enough to keep the audience’s interest.
Ending
After the third point, wrap the speech up by sharing a few takeaways or maybe even a question. This will be the last thing the audience hears from you so it’s good to think about what you want them to take away from the speech.
