It’s easy to forget about the way we speak in the same way that it’s easy to forget about the way we sleep: it’s just so everyday that it’s just something that runs on autopilot.
In the same way that some people are missing out on the benefits of good sleep, some people are missing out on the benefits of being comfortable with expressing any emotion. Especially self-confidence.
How we express ourselves literally changes who we are- and how other people see us: you can express self-confidence once and people won’t think you’re a self-confident person, but when you express yourself confidently over and over again, it’s clear that that‘s just who you are. You’ll build a reputation for being self-confident.
So I challenge you to practice expressing different emotions when with other people or when on camera, and just to play around with it and explore your own self-expression. New insights come when we do stuff differently.
